:::warning
Use a native build in Expo (`npx expo run:ios` or a development build). Expo Go does not include this library.
:::

iOS 27 also requires the host app to adopt the scene lifecycle. The example enables `ios.enableSceneSupport` through `expo-build-properties` on Expo SDK 57. See [Expo’s scene migration guide](https://github.com/expo/fyi/blob/main/ios-scene-lifecycle.md) for host-app configuration.

## Requirements

| Requirement                                   | Support                                                                                                        |
| --------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| React Native | New Architecture; development and validation on 0.86.3 / React 19.2.3 |
| Native adaptive arrangements and hinge events | iOS 27.1+, built with Xcode 27.1 / iOS 27.1 SDK or newer |
| Older iOS, down to 16.4                       | Deterministic SwiftUI [fallback](/react-native-arrangement-view/v0.1/guide/how-panes-are-arranged.md#fallback) |
| Older Xcode SDK | Compiles the fallback; rebuild and rerun CocoaPods with the new SDK to enable native arrangements |
| Android / web | Not implemented; rendering the component throws an explicit unsupported-platform error |

These Apple APIs are from a beta SDK and may change.

## Usage

```tsx
import { ArrangementView } from 'react-native-arrangement-view';
export function PlayerScreen() {
  return (
    <ArrangementView style={{ flex: 1 }} arrangement="split" axes="both">
      <ArrangementView.Primary>
        <Player />
      </ArrangementView.Primary>
      <ArrangementView.Secondary>
        <Transcript />
      </ArrangementView.Secondary>
    </ArrangementView>
  );
}
```

See [`ArrangementView`](/react-native-arrangement-view/v0.1/api/arrangement-view.md) for its props.
